Turnaround Consultant – Scotland Location: Scotland – ideally Glasgow / Edinburgh corridor Contract: Interim / Consultancy Working Pattern: Flexible, assignment-based Day Rate: £300 per day + accommodation or mileage where required The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen with an award-winning care consultancy for an experienced Turnaround Consultant to support care homes and services across Scotland. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced care professional who enjoys stepping into services, identifying areas for improvement and making a tangible difference to care quality, compliance, standards and overall performance. Working on a consultancy basis, you will provide practical support to care providers, helping them identify challenges, implement improvements and strengthen the quality of their services. The Role As a Turnaround Consultant, you will work across a range of care settings, providing hands-on support with: Troubleshooting operational and quality issues within care homes and services Conducting audits, assessments and reviews of care provision Identifying areas of risk, non-compliance and underperformance Supporting services to improve care quality and outcomes Developing and implementing practical improvement plans Providing guidance and support to registered managers and senior teams Reviewing policies, procedures, governance and quality assurance processes Supporting services through periods of change or improvement Identifying sustainable solutions to operational challenges Providing clear, constructive feedback and recommendations Helping care homes raise standards and maintain high-quality, person-centred care About You We are looking for an experienced care professional with a strong understanding of care home operations and quality improvement. You will ideally have: Proven experience working within adult social care / care home settings Experience of turnaround, troubleshooting or service improvement A strong understanding of quality, compliance and regulatory requirements Experience carrying out audits, inspections or quality reviews The ability to quickly identify issues and develop practical solutions Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills The confidence to work independently and adapt quickly to different services A practical, solutions-focused approach The ability to build positive relationships with managers and care teams A genuine passion for improving outcomes for people receiving care Experience supporting services through regulatory improvement, quality concerns, organisational change or periods of underperformance would be highly advantageous. The consultancy is particularly interested in candidates who can undertake assignments without requiring significant travel or accommodation for every placement, although accommodation and mileage will be provided where required.
