The Role As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of high-quality care, while providing guidance and support to care staff. You will help ensure every individual receives compassionate, personalised care that promotes wellbeing and enhances their daily lives. Key Responsibilities Lead and support care staff to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care. Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and accurate record keeping. Administer and record medication in line with policies and procedures. Promote dignity, choice, independence, and individual rights at all times. Support residents with personal care and daily living activities where required. Monitor wellbeing and promptly report any changes in health or behaviour. Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and colleagues. Support new team members through mentoring, guidance, and role modelling best practice. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards. Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment. What We're Looking For Previous experience within a care setting, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity. A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Medication administration experience or willingness to undertake training. Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
