RQIA Inspector – Ireland Location: Ireland Day Rate: £300 per day Engagement: Self-Employed / Interim Consultancy Make a Meaningful Difference Through Quality, Regulation and Care New Way Recruitment is seeking an experienced RQIA Inspector / Regulatory Compliance Consultant / Senior Care Professional to undertake an interim consultancy assignment supporting health and social care services across Ireland. The Role Working alongside senior management and care teams, you will provide experienced regulatory oversight and quality-focused support, helping services understand their current position, identify areas for improvement and embed sustainable best practice. Key responsibilities will include: Conducting structured inspections, audits and quality assurance reviews across health and social care services. Assessing services against relevant regulatory requirements, care standards, policies and governance frameworks. Reviewing care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding processes, medication systems, incident management and quality assurance arrangements. Speaking with people receiving care, relatives, staff and senior managers to develop a clear understanding of the quality and experience of care being delivered. Identifying areas of regulatory, operational, safeguarding and quality risk. Reviewing governance arrangements, leadership effectiveness and management oversight. Producing clear, accurate and evidence-based inspection reports and recommendations. Providing constructive feedback to senior leaders and management teams. Supporting the development and implementation of robust improvement and action plans. Monitoring progress against identified areas of concern and ensuring improvements are sustainable. Promoting person-centred care, dignity, safety, choice and positive outcomes. Providing professional challenge where standards or practice require improvement. Working collaboratively with management teams to encourage a positive culture of continuous improvement. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all findings are supported by clear evidence. Working independently while maintaining a professional, objective and proportionate approach. About You We are looking for an experienced senior care professional with strong knowledge of regulation, compliance, quality assurance and service improvement. You may have worked as a: RQIA Inspector | Regulatory Inspector | Compliance Consultant | Quality Manager | Registered Manager | Regional Manager | Operations Manager | Interim Manager | Quality Assurance Lead | Regulatory Compliance Consultant You will ideally have: Significant senior-level experience within health or social care. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, inspection processes and quality standards. Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations or quality reviews. Excellent report-writing and evidence-gathering skills. The confidence to professionally challenge poor practice and identify areas of risk. Strong safeguarding and governance knowledge. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. A balanced, fair and evidence-based approach. The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
