Registered Manager Location: Surbiton Setting: Rehabilitation Centre Employment Type: Permanent Salary:up to £70,000 Start Date: ASAP The Opportunity New Way Recruitment is delighted to be working with a specialist rehabilitation centre in the Surbiton area, looking for an experienced and confident Home Manager to join the service on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strong, vision-driven healthcare leader looking for a long-term position where they can truly take ownership, drive continuous improvement, and provide long-term stability and leadership to a dedicated team. We are looking for someone who excels at managing day-to-day operations, inspiring staff, and embedding a culture of high-quality care. You do not need to be an RGN or RMN for this position — we welcome applications from experienced Home Managers with a strong background in care or healthcare management. The Role As Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the operational and clinical success of the service, providing strategic direction, strong leadership, and ensuring residents receive safe, high-standard, person-centred care. Key responsibilities include: Service Leadership: Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and long-term direction of the service. Team Management: Leading, motivating, and developing the management and care teams, overseeing recruitment, performance, and retention. Quality & Compliance: Monitoring compliance, overseeing safeguarding and medication processes, and ensuring regulatory standards are consistently met or exceeded. Continuous Improvement: Conducting regular audits, implementing effective action plans, and driving high standards across all areas of care. Financial & Operational Management: Managing staffing budgets, rotas, and resource allocation efficiently. Relationship Building: Developing strong working relationships with residents, families, staff, CQC/regulatory bodies, and local multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Culture & Governance: Fostering a open, supportive, and accountable working environment. About You We are seeking an established Home Manager or senior healthcare leader who is passionate about long-term service growth and person-centred rehabilitation. Ideal experience & skills: Proven track record as a Home Manager, Registered Manager, Service Manager, or similar senior operational role within a regulated care setting. Deep understanding of care quality, compliance, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements. Strong financial, operational, and people-management capabilities. A proactive, hands-on leadership style with excellent decision-making skills. Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with external stakeholders, families, and staff. Driven by a passion for continuous improvement and high standards of care delivery. (Note: Nursing qualifications [RGN/RMN] are not required for this role; we prioritise strong leadership and operational expertise.)
