Registered Manager – Residential Care Location: Luton Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 A well-established residential care service in Luton is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the home through its next stage of development. This is an opportunity for a values-driven leader to shape a high-quality service where residents receive dignified, person-centred care and staff are supported to deliver their very best. The successful candidate will combine strong regulatory knowledge with a genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults. You will provide visible leadership within the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and team performance while building positive relationships with residents, families, and local stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Provide strong operational and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and person-centred care Maintain full regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement in line with CQC standards and best practice guidance Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team, promoting a positive and supportive culture within the home Ensure robust governance, safeguarding, and risk management processes are embedded across the service Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels to ensure the home remains sustainable and well-run Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and healthcare professionals Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce Champion quality improvement initiatives that enhance residents’ wellbeing, independence, and quality of life Requirements: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or above) – essential Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a managerial role within a residential care setting Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding frameworks, and governance processes Up-to-date understanding of local authority commissioning and partnership working Ability to live within reasonable commuting distance of Luton Proven leadership experience with a track record of improving service quality and team performance Compassionate, resilient, and committed to delivering outstanding care Benefits: Competitive salary package £65,000 – £70,000 Performance-related incentives Supportive senior leadership structure Ongoing professional development and leadership training Opportunity to lead a well-resourced service with a strong focus on quality care Autonomy to shape the culture, standards, and future direction of the home Pension scheme and additional staff benefits This role would suit a passionate Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready to lead a residential service where quality, compassion, and professional leadership are central to everything delivered.
