Operations Director Essex | £95,000 per annum Shape Outstanding Care. Lead Meaningful Change. An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established and values-driven care organisation supporting individuals with complex needs across a portfolio of high-quality services throughout Essex. This is a senior leadership position for a compassionate, commercially aware, and operationally focused professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes, driving quality improvement, and empowering teams to achieve excellence. Reporting directly into the executive leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational oversight across multiple services, ensuring regulatory compliance, financial performance, workforce engagement, and exceptional standards of care. Key Responsibilities Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of care services, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred support. Drive quality improvement initiatives to achieve and maintain outstanding service standards. Lead, coach and develop Registered Managers and senior leadership teams to maximise performance and retention. Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, legislation, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies. Monitor and improve operational KPIs including occupancy, quality, staffing, compliance and financial performance. Develop and implement strategic plans that support sustainable growth and continuous improvement. Manage budgets effectively, identifying opportunities for efficiency whilst maintaining high-quality care delivery. Build positive relationships with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders. Support service development, mobilisation projects and organisational growth initiatives. Foster a positive culture centred on compassion, accountability, inclusion and continuous learning. About You Proven senior operational leadership experience within health and social care. Strong understanding of CQC regulations and regulatory frameworks. Demonstrable experience managing multiple services and leading large teams. Track record of improving quality, compliance and operational performance. Commercially astute with strong financial and budget management experience. Inspirational leadership style with the ability to engage, motivate and develop others. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for individuals receiving care and support.
