Interim Clinical Lead – Chorley Location: Chorley, Lancashire Contract: Interim / Temporary Working Pattern: Full-time Start Date: Immediate Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced and confident Interim Clinical Lead to support a care home in Chorley on an immediate-start basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong leader who can step into a service, quickly assess priorities and provide hands-on leadership, clinical oversight and service improvement. Key Responsibilities Provide strong clinical leadership and oversight across the service. Ensure high standards of safe, person-centred care are consistently maintained. Review and strengthen clinical processes, policies and documentation. Support medication management and ensure safe administration and recording. Monitor care plans, risk assessments, audits and clinical records. Identify areas requiring improvement and implement practical action plans. Support staff through coaching, supervision and clinical guidance. Work closely with the Registered Manager and wider leadership team. Respond effectively to safeguarding, incidents, complaints and clinical concerns. Build positive relationships with residents, families and professionals. Ensure the service remains compliant with relevant regulatory and quality standards. Provide stability and leadership during the interim period. About You The successful candidate will have: Proven experience working as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Nurse Manager or similar senior clinical role within a care setting. Strong knowledge of clinical governance, medication management and regulatory compliance. Demonstrable experience of service improvement or turnaround. Excellent leadership and communication skills. The confidence to identify issues and take decisive action. A compassionate, resident-focused approach. Current NMC registration where applicable. Must be on the DBS Update Service. Must be immediately available to start the assignment. Previous experience within a care home environment is essential. What We Offer Immediate interim opportunity. Competitive day rate.
