HR Manager – Care Homes Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire £45,000 – £55,000 per annum We are working in partnership with a well-established care home provider to recruit an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead the people function across their organisation. This is a key role requiring someone who can provide both strategic and operational HR support, ensuring best practice across the employee lifecycle while working closely with senior leaders and Home Managers to foster a positive, high-performing culture. The Role Lead and manage all aspects of the HR function across the organisation. Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and absence management. Support recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives to attract and retain high-quality talent. Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with current employment legislation and best practice. Work closely with Home Managers to develop people strategies that support operational objectives. Oversee learning and development initiatives, identifying training needs and supporting career progression. Manage payroll-related HR processes, contracts, and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Produce HR reports and workforce data to support strategic decision-making. Promote employee engagement, wellbeing and a positive workplace culture. Support organisational change projects and continuous improvement initiatives. About You Previous experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner. CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum (Level 7 desirable). Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Experience managing complex employee relations cases confidently and professionally. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the care, healthcare or a similarly regulated sector would be advantageous but is not essential. A collaborative approach with a genuine passion for supporting people and developing teams.
