Deputy Head of Care Location: Battersea Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity New Way Recruitment is delighted to be working on an exciting opportunity with a highly respected specialist care organisation in London. Due to the confidential nature of the appointment, the organisation's name will not be disclosed at this stage. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Head of Care to join the senior leadership team and play a key role in maintaining and developing exceptionally high standards of care. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a significant role in clinical leadership, service development and the overall quality of care. About the Role As Deputy Head of Care, you will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care across the organisation. You will provide strong clinical leadership while supporting, developing and inspiring care teams to deliver consistently high standards. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Head of Care with the overall leadership and management of care services. Providing visible and effective clinical leadership across the organisation. Supporting the development and implementation of care standards, policies and procedures. Ensuring high standards of clinical governance, quality and compliance. Supporting audits, inspections and continuous improvement programmes. Monitoring clinical practice and identifying areas for improvement. Supporting the management and development of nursing and care teams. Providing coaching, mentoring and professional guidance to staff. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals. Ensuring safeguarding and risk management processes are robust and effective. Supporting incident management, investigations and action plans where required. Promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Deputising for the Head of Care when required. About You We are looking for a qualified nurse with strong clinical and leadership experience. You will ideally have: Current RGN or RMN registration. Significant experience working within a senior nursing or clinical leadership position. Experience within care, healthcare, nursing or a similar regulated environment. Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and regulatory requirements. Proven experience leading and developing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A confident, compassionate and collaborative leadership style. The ability to influence and engage staff at all levels. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This role would suit an experienced Deputy Head of Care, Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse, Deputy Director of Nursing or experienced Nursing Home Manager looking to take their career to the next level.
