Deputy Clinical Manager Kent £53,000 per annum Are you an experienced clinical leader looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-quality elderly care service? We are seeking a compassionate, driven and commercially aware Deputy Clinical Manager to support the delivery of exceptional person-centred care within a well-established nursing home in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with strong leadership experience who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development and creating an environment where residents can live with dignity, independence and purpose. The Role Working closely with the Clinical Manager and wider leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing clinical operations, maintaining outstanding care standards and supporting the continued success of the service. Key Responsibilities • Support the day-to-day clinical management of the nursing home, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care delivery. • Lead, mentor and develop nursing and care teams, promoting a positive culture of learning and continuous improvement. • Monitor and maintain compliance with CQC regulations, clinical governance frameworks and organisational policies. • Conduct clinical audits, quality assurance reviews and risk assessments to drive service excellence. • Support care planning processes, ensuring residents receive personalised care tailored to their individual needs and preferences. • Oversee medication management and clinical practices, ensuring adherence to professional standards. • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders. • Assist with occupancy, service development and operational objectives alongside the senior management team. • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and staff retention initiatives. • Act as a visible clinical leader, promoting best practice and delivering outstanding resident outcomes. About You • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with an active NMC PIN. • Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Senior Nurse leadership position within elderly care. • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, clinical governance and safeguarding. • Passionate about delivering person-centred care and improving resident experiences. • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills. • Ability to inspire teams and drive high performance in a fast-paced care environment. • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical quality and compliance.
