This is an opportunity for a compassionate, confident and values-driven senior care professional to play a key role in the leadership of a well-established care service, supporting the Home Manager and ensuring residents receive safe, dignified and genuinely person-centred care. The Role Working closely with the Home Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of the home, championing high standards of care while creating a positive, supportive culture for residents, families and colleagues. Key responsibilities: Support the Home Manager with the effective day-to-day management of the service. Take leadership responsibility in the Home Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity and high standards. Lead, motivate and develop the care team, promoting accountability, compassion and best practice. Ensure care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding and medication processes are maintained to a high standard. Monitor quality, compliance and regulatory standards, supporting audits, inspections and continuous improvement. Promote dignity, independence, choice and meaningful engagement for every resident. Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders. Support recruitment, induction, supervision, training and ongoing development of colleagues. Help ensure effective staffing levels, rotas and deployment of the team. Respond professionally to concerns, incidents and complaints, supporting appropriate investigation and resolution. Act as a visible and positive role model, embedding a culture where residents genuinely come first. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a senior care or deputy management position within an adult social care setting. Strong understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding and person-centred care. A confident and compassionate people leader with the ability to inspire and develop teams. Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills. A genuine passion for improving outcomes and quality of life for residents. Resilience, integrity and a hands-on approach to leadership. Relevant Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
