Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Care Sector Location: Hertfordshire & London Salary: Up to £150,000 per annum + Performance Bonus + Executive Benefits Package The Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join a growing and ambitious care organisation operating across Hertfordshire and London. This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting growth, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding care services across the organisation. Working closely with the CEO and Board, you will lead operational strategy, oversee service performance, and champion a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for a proven senior leader with significant experience within the health and social care sector who is passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes while supporting sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities Lead the operational performance of the organisation across multiple care services. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, quality, and profitability. Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and sector legislation. Oversee regional and senior management teams, providing leadership, support, and accountability. Drive service improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies. Monitor key performance indicators, occupancy levels, financial performance, and quality outcomes. Work closely with the executive team on acquisitions, integration projects, and business development opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and person-centred care. About You To be considered for this role, you must have: Significant senior leadership experience within the care sector, ideally at Director, Operations Director, Regional Director, or COO level. A proven track record of managing large-scale care operations across multiple sites. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance frameworks, and quality governance. Experience leading services within one or more of the following sectors: Adult Social Care Learning Disabilities Mental Health Autism Services Residential or Supported Living Services Demonstrable experience of driving operational improvement and organisational growth. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering financial performance. What's on Offer?
