Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Elderly Care Homes Location: Essex & London (Regional Role) Salary: Up to £150,000 + Performance Bonus + Executive Benefits Hours: Full Time | Permanent About the Opportunity New Way Recruitment is proud to be supporting a highly respected and growing elderly care provider in the appointment of an experienced and passionate Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring exceptional care quality, strong compliance, and sustainable business growth across a portfolio of care homes. We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on leader who can inspire operational excellence while upholding the highest standards of dignity, compassion, and resident wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Lead and empower Regional and Home Managers to deliver exceptional care and outstanding CQC outcomes. Oversee all operational, financial, and quality performance across the care home portfolio. Drive strategic growth initiatives and continuous improvement in service delivery. Ensure strong governance, compliance, and adherence to all statutory and regulatory frameworks. Cultivate a positive, person-centred culture that values staff development, teamwork, and compassionate leadership. Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership team to execute business plans and achieve organisational objectives. About You Proven track record in a senior operational role within care homes, healthcare, or social care (multi-site experience essential). Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing, values-driven teams. Comprehensive understanding of CQC regulations, quality standards, and operational best practice. Strong commercial acumen combined with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of older people. Strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic, growing organisation.
