Commissioning Children's Home Manager Location: Greater London Salary: £50,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Commissioning Children's Home Manager to lead the successful opening and development of a new residential children's home in Greater London. We are seeking a passionate and driven leader who is committed to delivering outstanding, child-centred care and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people with complex needs can thrive. Key Responsibilities Lead the full commissioning process of a new children's residential home, ensuring readiness for Ofsted registration. Develop and implement robust policies, procedures and safeguarding practices in line with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Recruit, develop and inspire a dedicated care team, promoting a positive and therapeutic culture. Oversee care planning, risk assessments and individualised support for children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Manage budgets, staffing, compliance and operational performance while maintaining exceptional standards of care. Build strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals and families to achieve positive outcomes. Requirements Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Commissioning Manager within children's residential care. Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children's residential care legislation. Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties. Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
