Children's Home Consultant Location: Lincolnshire Rate: £300–£350 per day Contract: Ad Hoc Consultancy / Day Rate Start Date: Immediate We are seeking an experienced Children's Home Consultant to support the development and registration of a new children's residential home in Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist consultant with proven experience of establishing children's homes and navigating the Ofsted registration process. You will work closely with the owners to ensure the home is fully compliant, operationally ready, and positioned for a successful launch. Ofsted experience is essential for this position. Key Responsibilities Support the setup and launch of a new children's residential home. Lead and advise on all aspects of the Ofsted registration process. Assist with the preparation and review of registration documentation, including the Statement of Purpose. Develop policies, procedures, and operational frameworks in line with regulatory requirements. Conduct compliance audits and registration-readiness assessments. Provide guidance on safeguarding, staffing structures, and governance. Ensure the service meets all relevant legislation, regulations, and Quality Standards. Identify areas of risk and implement practical solutions to achieve compliance. Offer ongoing operational and regulatory support as required. Essential Requirements Proven experience supporting the registration and setup of children's homes. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspections, and registration requirements. Experience as a Registered Manager, Responsible Individual, Operations Manager, or Children's Home Consultant within children's residential care. Thorough understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and children's home legislation. Ability to develop robust policies, procedures, and operational systems. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and provide practical, hands-on support. What's on Offer? Competitive day rate of £300–£350 per day.
