Assistant Care Manager Location: Blackburn Salary: £30,000 per annum An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Care Manager to join a well-established adult social care service in Blackburn. This role is ideal for an experienced senior care professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support while helping to lead and develop a committed care team. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent standards of care, supporting staff development, and ensuring the service operates in line with regulatory requirements and best practice in adult social care. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals who rely on consistent, respectful, and dignified support. Key Responsibilities: • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the service • Ensure high standards of person-centred care are delivered in line with individual care plans and best practice guidance • Supervise, mentor, and support care staff to promote a positive, compassionate care culture • Assist with staff rotas, shift planning, and ensuring safe staffing levels • Monitor care delivery, conduct observations, and ensure quality assurance processes are maintained • Support with audits, compliance checks, and maintaining accurate care documentation • Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for individuals • Assist with incident management, safeguarding processes, and risk assessments where required • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every individual supported by the service • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of care staff What We’re Looking For: • Previous experience in a Senior Care, Team Leader, or Deputy-level role within adult social care • A strong understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards) • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team • Excellent communication and organisational skills • A compassionate, proactive approach with a genuine commitment to improving lives Benefits: • Competitive salary of £30,000 per year • Opportunities for career progression into management roles • Ongoing training and professional development • Supportive and collaborative leadership environment • Paid training and recognised qualifications • Generous annual leave entitlement • Pension scheme • Employee wellbeing and support initiatives If you are an experienced care professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role while continuing to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and rewarding environment.
